Master Plan 2014 and Future DAYS

I am in shock that the last month of 2014 begins tomorrow.  Where has the year gone?  Usually, I do have a tendency to make all these new year resolutions and I’m sure I still will but more importantly, I want to make a goal list or deadline calendar or Monthly Manifesto for this upcoming December, not of just things I want to get accomplished before 2015 begins but an early ambitious motivated start to those goals that will be set for starting in January.

Rather than simply updating my 101 things in 1001 days and setting up goals for 2015, I am starting a new plan.  I will not only continue to have those but I’ll have goals and deadlines set for each month and each week and break them all down into bite sized daily plans.  If we have intentions set in more bite sized portions or baby steps that can easily be accomplished in daily tasks, why not make it easier for ourselves, right?

I know that my workload has been insane and my sleep schedule has been irregular and I’m taking steps right now to alleviate some pressure, free up some time so I can attack some of my latest ambitions, as well as fit in some writing time and hang out with my imaginary friends.  Oh, how I miss them.  As well, I am planning to carve out time for real people and reading my friends’ blogs, etc.

I believe December to be uber-productive, even with Christmas coming!  I can’t wait to update my progress!!  Y’all let me know if you need a Word template for a December calendar so you can produce your own goal and project setting.  I can also set you up on months for each of 2015.

Best ways of planning?

1.  Create your master list of everything you want to accomplish, whether it be within 5-10 years time, 1 year, 1 month or 1 week.  (*TIP* – It’s easier if you can do this in an Excel spreadsheet, so you can sort it by either level of importance or date later.)

2.  Start planning all those items in your master list by adding a goal start, goal end or deadline date at the beginning or end of each task.

3.  Separate each of those items by date, so you have them arranged in order of how you would want them accomplished.

4. Start tacking those items into different project pieces, breaking them down as to small bites of action in order to accomplish each one.

5.  Put only those items you can make time for within each month, then break down the bites into the weeks and days of each month, so with each passing day, you are one step closer to reaching your goal.

***Be sure you look at your calendar every day and attack those goals.  Put reminders on your phone calendar or daily planner.  I have a reminder on my phone (usually says “look at planner project VIDEO” and in my daily planner with more details and a separate project calendar that I print out and either have it on my desk or fridge).  I might be a little OCD?

If you have any additional ideas on how to attack goals or taking action or becoming more motivated, please comment so we can all benefit from your awesomeness!!

Tea With My Imaginary Friend

Doing it 365 Days in a Row!

Today’s post is in participation with The Daily Post and their challenge for today is Winning Streak  What’s the longest stretch you’ve ever pulled off of posting daily to your blog? What did you learn about blogging through that achievement, and what made you break the streak?

Winning Streak

First of all, I know I’ve not been posting regularly lately.  Most of you know why re crazy work hours, my new video project I’m trying to work on, the holidays, etc.

For the questions above, I believe the longest stretch I pulled off posting daily to my blog is with this one for which I posted daily and sometimes more than once from Dec 2011 thru Dec 2012.  It was a photography blog then.  Of course, I still love photography.  I just seem to have less time to do those things I love and I’m looking for ways to remedy this little conundrum, trying to learn to be more creative and learn new things and step outside my comfort zone in many ways, which is terrifying, thrilling and exciting all at the same time.

I learned consistency, determination, focus, follow through, dedication and I’m sure a handful or two of other values through my blogging daily.  I broke the streak, I’m guessing, because life gets in the way at times or it could be that I just wanted to do something different.

So now my direction with my blog is changing and while I do LOVE posting quotes from inspiring writers and authors about writing, about motivation, faith, miracles and inspiration, in general, and will probably continuing doing so, my upcoming vlog is something I’m passionate about.  So on that note…

What are the questions you most would like to hear people answer?

What are the questions you’d like to be asked?  What would you prefer NOT to be asked?

What are the most meaningful questions, in your opinion?

Happy Turkey Day, Y’all!

I just wanted to stick my head in real quick and take time to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving for those of you who are celebrating this day.  I would like say that I appreciate you and thank God for sharing your life with me and allowing me to share my life with you.  I’m truly a better person for knowing you and just wanted you to know.  I’m truly thankful on this day and every day.  I am learning not to complain as much for all that I don’t have and becoming more joyful and rich in all the blessings I do have.  I have a beautiful, wonderful, loving family who I adore.  We are healthy.  We have jobs.  Hallie has a great school.  We have our homes, our land, furry babies, loving friends like you and I could go on and on.

I hope you enjoy your day and weekend and feel truly blessed in all that you have.  Count your blessings and feel rich with those things given you.

I’m off to start all my cooking.  Made my pie crust dough last night and that’s been chilling overnight.  Gotta go make my deviled eggs, sweet potato casserole, apple pie with Gruyere baked into the crust (yum!), pumpkin roll and I’m not sure what else but I’m sure I’ll think o’ something to bring.  Then we’re off to Mama’s.  Good thing it’s right next door!  🙂

Happy Turkey Day, y’all!  *smooch*

Maybe I’ll actually post a photo or two later on.

Okay, so yes, I stole 5 minutes to write.  Yea me.

The Best Time for Planning a Book

Breathe, Trust and Let Go

I’m trying this.  I’ll keep you posted on how it turns out.  New and better contracts are popping up, so perhaps soon, I’ll have more free time (after I let the lesser contracts go) to work on my video project!  Yea!

Happy Thanksgiving, y’all!  *smooch*

Everything You Do Is Important

hat“Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it.”
Mahatma Gandhi

One of the truest statements I’ve ever read.  People may not remember our name 100 years from now nor what we did but what we do really does matter.  It’s important.

Everything we do — big or infinitesimally small — everything we do creates a ripple and that ripple reverberates throughout the universe.

A Life Well Used

leonardo“As a well spent day brings happy sleep, so life well used brings happy death.”
Leonardo da Vinci

Oh!  Love, love, love!

I do hope you are having a splendorific sort of day!  I don’t have much of an update as far as the video project, yet — still not enough free time.

I do have some interesting news though on my level of faith, positivity, patience, joy, etc.  I’ve been going through this Jack Canfield Success Principles 10 Day Transformation (it’s free) and it’s making a HUGE difference in my life!!!  I signed up a couple of weeks ago or maybe a month ago and I’ve only made it through Day 6 of 10 so far as I don’t get much free time and these daily exercises don’t take very long, although Day 6 took a few days to get through.

I must tell you each exercise has profoundly affected me and especially Day 6.  Have you ever heard of Creative Visualization?  I’m a big believer although I don’t allow myself much time to practice this as often as I’d like.  I have been doing the visualization / meditation for 2-3 days straight and I’m not sure what it is — maybe a mixture of that and praying on a different level.

I have to tell you, since I started doing these things, I sleep better at night (I’m able to shut down my brain and rest rather than think of all the undone stuff I have left to do), I’m a little more focused, I’m learning to let go of some of my “control” and hand it over to God in a sort of “I don’t care” kind of way.  I mean, of course I care but it’s not like I really have control anyway, so I hand it off to God and let him handle it for me, while having faith he’s going to do amazing things with it and bring great things my way.

Since I started this, I’ve received 2 new contracts (yes, in 2-3 days).  One begins in December and the other one began yesterday.  I am believing this to mean I will soon have less hours to work while earning more moola (which is good since we’re scraping by — not complaining), since both of these contracts pays better than my others.

Once I have been working on each of these new contracts for 2 weeks, I’ll probably let those others go.  And then, we’ll see what creative project I’ll have time to work on.  I’m sooooo excited!!  I’m hopeful I can pull out the video project and edit and then start interviewing other people and upload it on YouTube.

I’m a bit sad I haven’t had time to work on my novel during NaNoWriMo but, well, there’s always the next month when I have a bit more free time.

So, if you are interested in participating in the Jack Canfield thing, holla and I’ll direct you where to find it if you can’t locate that.  Any other questions?  Holla!

Are you ready for Thanksgiving?  What do you have to be thankful for?  I can name probably about 30 things just right off the top of my head!  Life is good.  Love you guys sooooo much and I just know y’all will have a sanfrantastic weekend!!  Make it awesome, man!  ’cause you can!  ’cause you rock!  *smooch*  🙂
